The Old London is a very traditional tankard style that hails from (you’d never guess) the pubs of London, England. It’s a very appealing shape and the narrowed rim is practical too: Not only does it bring a level of rigidity to the cup that is greater than any of our other standard grade tankards, it’s also great for concentrating the aromas from many styles of beer.
More to the point remember this tankard’s heritage – regular’s at any pub expect certain styles of beer to have a proper head, and delivering that is critical to the pub-owner’s business. If your beer style is even a little bit inclined to produce a head, then the narrowed rim of this tankard will deliver that every time.
